A Spring Bucket List: 5 Simple Steps to Create Yours
We are welcoming Spring with open arms, not only for the warmer temperatures, sunnier skies, and budding florals, but for a fresh new bucket list!
Over the Winter, having a bucket list really helped us stay on track and make sure we accomplished the things we wanted to – After all, we only get this one precious life, so we better make it count! A seasonal bucket list is a great way to break down our great big list so it doesn’t feel so overwhelming, and it also gave us the confidence to start crossing off more of our dream places to see and things to do!
Here are 5 steps that make creating your own Spring Bucket List fun & simple!
1. Create a master list
Instead of keeping all of those dreamy, bucket list worthy experiences tucked away in your brain somewhere, write them down! Studies show that putting pen to paper helps to create a sense of accountability and help you to remember! Your master list is where you can continuously jot down items as you think of them. I personally have a notes file on my phone labelled “Bucket List” that I make notes of things on the go, and then I transfer these over to my actual list.
2. Organize your master list into smaller ones
This is where your seasonal list comes in. Use the free printable attached below to create your own Spring Bucket List. Add items that are season appropriate and you feel can fit within your schedule over the next few months. Be a little daring though, add one or two items you’re not 100% sure you’ll be able to make happen – You may surprise yourself once you get organized!
3. Fill out your Spring Bucket List Free Printable
I encourage you to print out a couple sheets, each one has space to plan 3 bucket list items, feel free to print more copies if needed. Write down the location, method of travel, ideal dates, total cost, and who (if anyone) will be going with you. Furthermore, you’re prompted to write down 3 things you need to do in order to make the list item happen. Filling out these details will of course take a little research, but you’ll find yourself prepared and excited to get crossing things of your list!
4. SHARE your list via #MySpringBucketList on Instagram
Post of photo of you and your bucket list, tag us @TrueNorthFamily and use hashtag #MySpringBucketList for a chance to win a $50.00 Visa Gift Card to help you achieve your bucket list goals! Better yet, challenge someone to create Spring Bucket List along with you! Grab yourself an accountability partner, whether it be a friend, spouse, sibling, or co-worker; and choose someone that you think will be just as inspired as you are! (contest details below)
5. Get going!
If you’re like me, you’re astonished by how quickly each month seems to fly by! Before you know it, we’ll be saying goodbye to Spring, so plan your first check off the Bucket List to be as soon as you can – You’ll be even more inspired by the accomplishment to move onto the next!
