During our time living in Southwestern Ontario, we made it our mission to explore as much of Ontario as we could as weekend warriors! Here are our 15 of our favorite, family-friendly experiences, in no particular order
Traveling with kids is all about balance, which really means making sure there is plenty of playtime! This trip was all about hands-on activities as a family and we had an absolute blast! So, if you’re visiting London, you have no need to worry about a lack of kid- friendly places to explore, learn, and play!
After spending three days in Bruce Peninsula, Ontario, it’s truly hard to describe the beauty and peacefulness of the area – even while traveling with the kids! Sometimes when you book a trip to a brand new location, all you can do is rely on Google searches to plan out your days. To us, this is an exciting opportunity to learn from locals or other experiences tourists, but it can also be a bit overwhelming. We started out with a long list of things we wanted to see and do, there is a tonne to do in the areaa, but we only had a short 3 days to cram full of our top choices! So, if you’re like us and and have never been to Bruce Peninsula & Tobermory, we’ve made it easy and layed out our entire itinerary, along with some tips we wish we knew during our trip!
When traveling, do you prefer to explore the city or more rural communities?
Waterloo Region is comprised of three cities and four townships, that together create a unique area that allows you to experience everything from rural farmland landscapes and historic towns, to city attractions and urban fare. We enjoy a little of both as we travel, and though we still have so much more to explore in this area, our 3-day stay in Waterloo is an experience I’d recommend to any family!
Is a visit to Canada’s capital city on your bucket list? If not, it should be! Our 3-day family adventure in Ottawa was certainly one for the books, and our only complaint is that we couldn’t stay longer! There are some trips that you can plan spontaneously. You can fly by the seat of your pants and still manage to see all there is to see, not so much in Ottawa. Instead, I highly recommend you have an idea of where you want to go and a decent schedule of what to see and do. Ottawa has so much to offer that if you visit without a plan, you may miss out on a lot! With the help of Ottawa Tourism, I’ve mapped out the perfect 3-day Ottawa itinerary that will ensure you leave Canada’s capital city feeling you’ve truly experienced it!
Last weekend our family spent three days in Hamilton, Ontario and made some incredible memories! “The City of Waterfalls” as some call it, is located less than an hour outside of Toronto, making it an easy day trip or weekend getaway! As one of the oldest cities in Canada, there is a lot […]
